John Van de North joins BBA//Fjeldco

BBA//Fjeldco‘s operation in the UK keeps growing, US lawyer John Van de North has joined the firm as a partner and he will be based in the BBA//Fjeldco offices in Mayfair in London.

John has lived and worked in London since 1998 and brings more than 25 years of experience in advising private equity sponsors in connection with transactions throughout Europe and North America and in forming pools of capital. He has advised on a wide range of matters including cross border leveraged buyouts, restructurings, industry roll-ups and venture financings.

John joins us from Goodwin, a US multinational law firm where he was a partner in the private equity group. Prior to that he was a partner in the private equity groups at Kirkland & Ellis and O’Melveny & Myers and served as a Senior Counsel to Sidley & Austin.  From 2012 to 2017, he worked as the general counsel and director of business development for a private equity backed renewable energy company in California.  He was a founding trustee of Girls Are Investors (GAIN), a leading UK charity focused on increasing the number of women working in the investment management industry.
